MOBILE COUNTY, Ala (WALA)– A fatal crash closed westbound I-10 at the Theodore Dawes exit for hours Thursday afternoon.
Police state the crash involved a single truck. The car’s tire blew causing it to lose control.
“He burst into flames so quickly, the heat from it you might feel it lawns far from it,” she stated.
Private investigators said the truck was carrying logs and was involved in storm particles cleanup. The car was driving westbound around 2pm when it lost control.
“There was an automobile in the ideal lane when the tire exploded and hit the other vehicle’s windscreen, however it was not involved in the crash itself,” stated Officer Josh Pounds with the Mobile Authorities Traffic Murder Division.
It took authorities hours to get the truck removed and westbound traffic moving once again.
For those who watched this fiery crash, it is something they will not forget.
“We were so stunned,” she said.
At this point police have actually not determined the chauffeur killed.
