ArcelorMittal revealed its intent to build an Electric Arc Heating system steelmaking facility at AM/NS Calvert. As soon as the new furnace is completed, the prepared facility will be capable of producing 1.5 million metric tonnes of steel pieces for the Hot Strip Mill and producing a broad spectrum of steel grades needed for Calvert’s end-user markets.
